About Us

Our aims as a group are to produce high quality performances, sing to the best of our abilities, perform new and interesting repertoire, and have fun as an ensemble. We are passionate about the music we make, and hope that this enthusiasm is contagious for our audiences. All profits from our concerts go to charitable causes, and we take part in community events and festivals wherever possible.

Musical Director - Sarah Latto

Sarah completed a BA in music at Cambridge University on 2010, where she held a choral scholarship with Sidney Sussex College Chapel Choir. She studied piano performance with Sally- Ann Goodworth, and vocal performance with Ghislaine Morgan. As an undergraduate student, Sarah took part in conducting masterclasses with Stephen Layton, John Nethsingha and Stephen Cleobury. After graduating she continued her studies in Brighton, where she worked closely with the Brighton Early Music Festival as a choral director and vocal coach. It was during this time that Sarah developed an interest in music for female voices, through working with the Celestial Sirens, an all-female vocal ensemble focusing on early music written for and by women. Since joining Tapestry as musical director, Sarah has very much enjoyed exploring the more modern music for women's ensemble, and looks forward to many performances with the group. As well as her involvement in choral music, Sarah is also a keen pianist and accompanist, with a particular interest in French vocal music.
